Do You Know About The Coldest Place In Nigeria? This is Where It Is Located.

This question has been going through my mind for some months now because I have noticed that a lot of states in Nigeria are normally hot,and also, I have heard some people in the east and south saying that their weather is cold and when I notice the drop of their temperature,it is just 13°C which sounds like a hot weather to those living in cold places.View pictures in App save up to 80% data.

I therefore went ahead and made a research on the states in Nigeria and also, which place is the coldest and to my greatest surprise,I found out it was no other place but Jos in plateau state.View pictures in App save up to 80% data.

Just like everyone assumes, most places in the south of the country with hotter or Warner climates might even see the drop of their temperature to around 13°C,but they are really much warmer overall, and this has made Jos a very indisputable winner when it comes to being the coldest place in Nigeria’s temperature map.View pictures in App save up to 80% data.View pictures in App save up to 80% data.

One of the major reason why the state is so cold is because of the JET STREAMS Which are fastly moving air that moves at the upper level of their atmosphere, northeast trade wind which is commonly referred to as harmattan and joined with the altitude of Jos,which is the plateau state capital has made the city bag the winner of the coldest temperature in the country with as low as 6.7 degree Celsius.View pictures in App save up to 80% data.

Most people in the Jos city find it really hard to go out during the harmattan period which mostly fall in the month of December and January. Some past of the city have experienced ice blocks coming out of their pipe borne water instead of just normal water and also you can wake up in the morning and fine your car totally covered with dew. Some residents explained that you could be taking a walk with someone and also find it very hard to see the person because everywhere seems filled with snow.View pictures in App save up to 80% data.View pictures in App save up to 80% data.View pictures in App save up to 80% data.
