Most times we buy yam in large quantities and after some period of time, only a small portion of it has been cooked. When yam stays for a long period of time without been cooked. It shrinks and reduces in size as the water dries off and start spoiling either from inside or outside its brown skin.

* Peel it and chop to any size of your choice.
* Wash the chopped yam in a clean water.
* Put the chopped yam into a ziplock or nylon.
* Store them in the freezer
