Don Jazzy kicks as Twitter warns him over copyright infringement

Twitter temporarily locked the account of Don Jazzy, record producer and head honcho of Mavin Records.

The microblogging site also warned the record executive of an imminent suspension over alleged copyright infringement.

Don Jazzy made this known in a post via his Twitter page on Saturday.

He suggested that artistes had asked him to promote their music on his page without first intimating their record labels of the request they made of him.

This, he hinted, prompted Twitter to take it for a copyright case after the labels likely reported the development.

“All of you signed to major record labels, abeg talk to your labels before asking me to post your work o. Stop making Twitter and Instagram lock my account for copyright infringement I can’t shout. Messing up my Algo,” he said.

In the photo that accompanied Don Jazzy’s tweet, he shared a warning from Twitter giving reasons for the block.

The notice read: “Your account is now available for use. Please be aware that any additional notices against your account may result in your account being locked again and potentially suspended.

“In order to avoid this, do not post any additional material in violation of our copyright policy and immediately remove any material from your account for which you are not authorized to post.”

Don Jazzy is renowned for his relatable social media persona which sees him engage intimately with fans, host giveaways and post humorous content including collaborative skits with indigenous comedians and actors alike.
